How does the Tennis Canada 50/50 Raffle work?

The Tennis Canada 50/50 Raffle is a raffle licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), where individuals purchase tickets for the opportunity to win 50% of the total money raised through the sale of tickets. There is a minimum guaranteed Grand Prize of $25,000, and four (4) Weekly prizes.


Who is eligible to buy 50/50 draw tickets?

Ticket purchasers must be 18 years or older to enter the Tennis Canada 50/50 Raffle.

The following groups are prohibited from purchasing a ticket in the Tennis Canada 50/50 Raffle:

·       Board members of Tennis Canada

·       Employees of registered gaming suppliers


When are the deadlines for the Tennis Canada 50/50 Raffle ticket sales?

The sales deadlines for the Tennis Canada 50/50 Raffle are as follows:

·       Main 50/50 Cash Grand Prize

1.     A single cash prize equal to 50% of all sales receipts will be awarded to the winner of the Grand Prize draw.  The minimum guaranteed prize value is $25,000.

·       Deadline: August 15, 2021 at 5:00 pm

·       Draw: August 15, 2021 at 5:30 pm


·       Weekly Prizes

                                    Deadlines: July 16, 23, 30, August 6 and 13, 2021 at 2:00 pm.

Does my ticket qualify for all of the draws in this Raffle?

Yes, once your ticket is purchased, it qualifies for all of the following relevant Weekly Prizes and the Grand Prize draw in this raffle. If you are a winner in one the draws, your ticket is re-entered for the opportunity to win the remaining prizes.


Can I order a ticket if I do not live in Ontario?

The lottery is intended for Ontario residents. Purchasers must be in the province of Ontario to order tickets.


How is the winning number drawn?

A ticket number will be selected for each prize by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold during the duration of the draw.


Where is the winning number posted?

The winning ticket numbers will be posted to immediately following the draw. Winners will also be contacted by phone.


How will winners be notified?

All winners will be contacted by phone shortly following each draw.


How long do I have to claim my prize?

Prizes must be claimed within six (6) months of the final draw date.

What if I lose my ticket?

You do not need your ticket to claim your prize. Your name and phone number is recorded in the database along with your ticket number, which is proof enough.

The Tennis Canada 50/50 Raffle Lottery Licence number is RAF1210334, as provided by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

When will I be able to see the pot growing and how will it grow? 

Because there is a guaranteed minimum pot for the winner of $25,000; the pot we begin to show growth when $50,000 worth of tickets has been sold. We are hopeful this will not take long but it depends on rate of sales. The good news is the winner is guaranteed to take home $25,000.
